Not sure what to do and I can't for the life of me find a solution online. I have a late 2012 iMac with a Windows 7 Boot Camp. I bought Skyrim on Steam and it fails to launch giving me the 'Failure to initialize renderer' error message.

So I searched and found people saying to install the graphics card drivers. By the way, this is a fresh Windows install, I put it on here just last night.

So I found the exact driver download on the AMD website. When I run that it gives me the error 'Application Install: install package failure!'

Can't seem to find a solution from here that has worked for me.

Edit: I found the correct driver on the NVIDIA website. Installed it and restart the computer and Skyrim runs now.

Every time I try to run this game I always get this error message: Failed to Initialize Renderer. Which isn't very helpful since it doesn't actually say whats wrong. All my searches seem to indicate that it might be a video card conflict but I have yet to find a workable fix. I've tried finding updates for my drivers but I keep running into to sites that want me to install their programs. Which leaves me concerned about getting infected with malware and viruses.
