Aug 12, 2011  The thing is I can't find it to uninstall it. I've removed all folders related to Net Nanny and ContentWatch under C://, I've run a search on my computer for ContentWatch and Net Nanny and deleted everything related. I've even followed the instructions to manually uninstall Net Nanny from the registry, but all the registry keys are gone already.

Want to permanently remove Net Nanny from your laptop, and don't have the password for the service? Execute the following steps:

  1. Click on Start and then on Programs, then on Accessories and right click on Command Prompt and chose Run as Administrator.

In the command prompt type in the following and hit Enter at the end of each line:

Sc delete narcpi_wfp Sc delete cwdaemon Sc delete cwupdaterdaemon

Restart your computer.

2. Go to Computer and on your keyboard press the Alt Key one time. At the top, click on Tools > Folder Options > View Tab. From that window, select the Circle next to Show Hidden Files and Folders. Click Apply and then Okay. 3. Then browse to the following locations in your C Drive and delete the ContentWatch folder.

  • C:Program Files

  • C:Program Data

You will need to remove the previous registry key. Click on Start and in the search field, enter 'Regedit' and click OK.

Then browse to the locations below and apply the following steps.

  1. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionUninstall

  • Scroll down the list of items under Uninstall till you show the Display name on the right pane will show the name of the product. Once you see Net Nanny on the right pane, right click on the file on the left tied to Net Nanny and select Delete.
